Inspirational Sales Training Ltd was founded by Terry Buckland and Paul Butler, who each have >35 years of experience in sales, executive sales management, marketing and business development in the life sciences and analytical arena.
We’ve worked across various technologies including Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Automation, Detection and Imaging, across many stages of Drug Discovery, Development and manufacturing with different Therapeutic Modalities. We deliver effective sales training for the modern, "post-COVID" era by challenging candidates via role plays and frequent evaluation.
We were both trained by Dennis Sobey using the Probing Pyramid model and have been passionate about it ever since with both of us choosing to use Dennis to train our own sales teams years later. Dennis has now given us his blessing as the exclusive training supplier using this approach. As such, our training is intensive and challenging, interactive and enjoyable. Attendees will have an experience that will impact their selling abilities and outlook forever.

Having been in sales since the mid 1990's I still love the thrill of taking an order. Of course that's the end point with usually a lot of work before.
Fortunately, I also love sharing my experience through training and mentoring which is lucky, given the chosen route that Paul and I are taking!
We have been friends for around 25 years and still enjoy each others company and have been told that it comes across well during sessions with our clients.
Very excited with our new venture and looking forward to meeting and training people across industries and roles. The Probing Pyramid is an excellent tool for any B2B organisation.
One sales tip for free; Don't be a Crocodile!
Behind every good man there's a great woman rolling her eyes!
I've attended many training courses but there are only two which changed my life. The first was a weekend in a buddhist monastery learning "The Mind of Equanimity"! I was dragged there kicking and screaming but it resonated with me as a human being and it changed my approach to business too.
The other was the Probing Pyramid, before which I thought I was a sales professional. Now it's clear that I wasn't. I learned that it isn't about talking, it's about listening(turns out my wife's been telling me that for years).
Ask the right questions, listen, and understand a customer's situation. There's a structure to it which needs to be learned but the bonus is that you can apply it to the rest of your life.
My tip? Be nice to people and they'll probably be nice back!
